Blockbuster New Moon DVD Release Party

Blockbuster and the PR Chicago team celebrate the DVD Release of New Moon with a midnight release party. Julian from B96 and the street team gave away prizes all night long while the Twilight look-a-likes took photos with fans and performed skits at the store.

Blockbuster This Is It DVD Release Party

Blockbuster celebrated the release of the highly anticipated DVD "This Is It", with a special party at one of the Chicagoland locations.  B96 was on site for hours and we had 2 performances by world famous MJ impersonator Rico for all of the fans to enjoy.

Career fairs with NTEC 2010

 
The PR Chicago team travels to 40+ colleges and universities to represent and inform attendees about the National Teacher Education Center.  Our brand ambassadors set up the display/booth and help inform the attendance about accelerated education and alternative certification with NTEC.

Chicago Toy and Game Fair 2009

Thousands of kids, parents, toy and game collectors and enthusiasts gathered at Navy Pier for the 2009 Chicago Toy & Game Fair, country’s only public toy and game event. The fair featured previews of the hottest and newest toys and games for the holiday season and 2010; meet and greets with toy and game inventors, including Reuben Klamer, venerable inventor of The Game of Life; game and chess tournaments and stage shows.

Blockbuster Joins The Fest for Beatles Fans

Blockbuster was on site at the 2009 Fest for Beatles Fans at the Hyatt Regency O'Hare promoting the upcoming release of The Beatles: Rock Band. We had a great response from the 5,000+ attendees as we held Trivia, gave away prizes, and pre-sold the game and limited edition bundles.  The PR Chicago team set up right outside of the demo rooms where excited Beatles and Rock Band fans were the very first to be able to play this highly anticipated game.

Red Mango @ Rachael's Block Party

Rachael Ray created a healthy food block party for the opening of her 4th TV season and Red Mango was there! Red Mango served more than 1,000 delicious cups of tangy yogurt to the audience of the Rachael Ray Show.  Bill Rancic and Giuliana DePandi of the new "Giuliana & Bill" reality weries also stopped by to enjoy their own Red Mango Yogurt topped with fresh berries.  

Blockbuster Summer Escape Pass - Chicagoland Events

Blockbuster invited Chicagoans to Escape In this summer, with a $10 Summer Escape Pass that allows a week of unlimited movie & game rentals (one out at a time). We celebrated with a series of Escape In events, with special appearances by on-air personalities from Power 92 (The Hot Boyz), US99 (Bonnie Green) and B96 (Nikki) and lots of great prizes, including Blu Ray players, TVs  and free movie and game rental cards.

7-Eleven 2009 Grand Openings

7-Eleven grand openings continue in 2009, with stores opening in Antioch, Glendale Heights, Mundelein, Highland Park and Schaumburg. The PR Events team was there to grill thousands of Big Bite hot dogs and sample donuts,, Slurpees, ice cream and more. The openings also featured local DJs, the Illinois Lottery prize wheel and free Monster Energy drinks.

Blockbuster Twilight DVD Release Party

Hundreds of Twilight fans flocked to the St. Charles, IL Blockbuster for a midnight release party in March. The event, hosted by B96 radio on-air personality Rebecca Ortiz, featured DVD and framed art giveaways, snacks and even a blood drive tie-in.

PRConsultants Group Conference 2009

  

PR Chicago hosted the 2009 PRConsultants Group Conference this year at the James Hotel in Chicago. Informative sessions covered social media, microbranding and how we can diversify in challenging times, and, of course, we had time to network with our colleagues, PR pros from around the country. Best were the January 29 sessions. The first featured syndicated columnist Oline Cogdill and radio marketing whiz Anne-Marie Kennedy. The second panel was the show-stopper, with award-winning blogger Andrew Huff, Chicago-Sun-Times web editor Kristen Miller, famed Twitter expert Sarah Evans and last-but-not-to-be-ignored shockjock Erich “Mancow” Muller. This panel combined some great and useful social media insider info with a incisive and very funny rant from Mancow that was truly comedy-club ready.
